• October 31 was the 7th biggest sales day in company history. People are buying! The average party this year is $437 compared to last year this is $50 higher!
• Let people know the money they can earn with H&GP. Get the word out to those that need a job.Contact designers that put H&GP on the back burner and get them excited about the money we can make and all the changes the company has made.

• Cathleen says Terry's challenged helped her succeed. She got on the phone and shared the specials.
• Schedule parties for January
• Alverna - those that say NO - you must ask is that no not now, or no not ever. When she says no not now, you ask permission to call her in mid December/right after Christmas to her to schedule a January party with her.
• November Specials - hostesses with a $350 party get the Christmas Treasures Santa FREE as well as with a $500 party - the Santa and 30% hostess credits!!
• H&GP has expanded the 2 booking gifts to include the Snow Angel Print and the Whimsical Tree as well.
• The price of the Heart Pin has been dropped to $15 and H&GP will donate $5 to the ACS per pin sold.
• December - Launch Contest - earn 3 levels of prizes ( see link on the right hand side of this page for more details - it will be posted by the end of this week if not there yet.)
• December Sales flyer will be available beginning Black Friday and run until Jan 31, 2008.
• All designers that have placed a qualified party since May 16, 2007, will receive a December Sales Flyer included in the Spring/Summer catalog that will begin mailing on November 21
• January is the Stack the Hostess Sale - 20% hostess benefits with a $200-$349.99 party, 30% hostess benefits with a $350 - $499.99 party and 35% hostess benefits with a $500 and up party!!
• Important dates to remember

11/12 - Spring kits, supplies and master price list will be posted on the designer website

11/16-25 - Designers can order CASE packs of Spring/Summer catalogs and Party Preview Mailers (cases only)

11/26 - The above case packs will begin shipping

11/21 - all designers that have had a qualified party since May 16, will receive in the mail, a Spring/Summer 2008 Catalog, party preview mailer, opportunity brochure and the December sales flyer.

11/30 - 1st day to order Spring 2008 Kits

12/3 - New supplies go on sale for designers

12/3-13 - All designers can order 1 each of the 6 Product Specials Kits that are retailed valued at $139

12/4 - Begin shipping new designer kits for Spring/Summer 2008

12/5 - Begin shipping New supplies and special product kits

12/15 - 1st day to order out of the 2008 Spring/Summer catalog

• Vicki Holley (in the whole Winand downline) was #1 last month selling $15,981! She did 19 inhome parties and the rest catalog shows. She works her business Monday thru Thursday!

• Baltimore meeting, January 12 - plan to be there - you can sign up on the designer website NOW. There will be a designer challenge the first week of December for this meeting. Get that first week of December booked.

Business -

• Super month for Sept. - 4 new designers - Brittany, Deb, Beth and Keith! Welcome to HGP!


• 11 People had their highest month ever and 33 designers entered party orders with team sales of over $20,000. Way to GO!


• Terry Kenyon's booking challenge - 80 new parties were booked for end of Sept thru October.


• Specials this month - Verona Watch for hostesses, 30% off print sale, 1/2 price extravaganza and the new designer promotion

Think about Bookings

• Ask yourself, 'why do I want to go out and book?" 'Why do I want to share my business?' Think about your family. Set small goals for the next 2-3 months. Do I want a debt free Christmas? Do I need to pay for a child's tuition? Be specific. How much do you want to earn? How many parties will I need? Write them down, draw visual, hang these visuals on mirrors, desk, someplace you will see it everyday. Ask yourself when you see these visuals, 'What will I do today to continue to move towards and achieve these goals?'


• Ask Why? HGP is a giving business. We have the best for customers, hostesses and designers. We all have a special gift and all we have to do is share that gift with others. Think how many hostesses will you touch in the next few months or possibly even new designers. Share the gift. Guests love a relaxed atmosphere with family and friends. They love to bond and get together. Share the specials for October, don't be selfish and keep it to yourself. Make everyone aware of the gifts you have to offer. People are loving our new catalog and it is showing in sales and the amount of new designers that have joined the company.

ATTITUDE

• Attitudes are contagious. Make sure yours is the one you want others to catch. Truly believe in what you and HGP has to offer. You are the deliverer. Think of a product that you absolutely love! Think of how you love that product and how you will share that love with others. For example - the bean pot - that magical bean pot where everything that goes into it comes out tasting great!


• Before you phone or go out to share your business - give yourself a pep talk. "Why would anyone say no to what I have to offer?" Really really believe in what you have to offer and expect a yes. Be positive, it's contagious. When you are positive and excited, they get absorbed in your energy level. They will want to book. Set the expectation of what you want.


• Who to call - Past hostesses - make sure they have received the new catalog. If she is not interested then move onto her guests from her party. They may be interested. Others to contact are past leads, family members, friends, hostess a mystery hostess party, etc.


• When talking to them - be excited - Oct has fabulous promotions for all - customers, hostesses and new designers. Create that sense of urgency. There is plenty of time to get bookings for this month. You don't want anyone to miss out.


• Quick tip when calling and you get the answering machine. 1st think about what is the purpose of the call. When you get the machine, leave an open ended message, or an open invitation for you to call back the individual and the individual to call you back. You don't want to worry that she didn't get the message because you asked her to call you back and did not leave it open for you to call her back. Be excited with your message - do not share the details or the promotions in the message. You want to have that conversation with her personally. Leave a generic message " Hi, this is ____, I'm so excited! We have so many fabulous things happening this month with Home & Garden Party and I don't want you to miss out! I would love to hear from you and if I don't hear from you first, I will call you back. It is too important that I share this with you. " Give the individual at least 48 hours before calling back. If at the end of a weeks time you don't get a hold of her, then leave a closed message. Put her name back in your files to call back in a few months.

STILL LOOKING FOR BOOKINGS?

• Outside contacts - still need more bookings - there are other areas to open that door. We all can't be a Rose, but are Rosebuds. Rosebuds are just as beautiful as roses. Start small. Find your comfort zone. Find a way that works for you. A warmer individual may help - for example, the bank teller, the grocery clerk - these are all people you see most every week don't forget the ball park...maybe you have never talked business with any of the other mothers - open that door. Engage in a conversation. Rose is fabulous at it and if you are not there yet, find a way to get there.


• Use a marketing tool - a party preview will do the talking for you. All you need to say is "We have incredible sales this month and I don't want anyone to miss out!" Give them the tool with the promos inside. Place a note on the party preview with a list of questions - 1. Would you like to earn an average of $400-$500 a month working one night per week? 2. would you like to receive an average of $80-$100 in free product? 3. Do you raise funds for an organization? 4. Would you like to simply place an order from our catalog with over 400 items? Call (your name and phone #) Also add a tag line to all of your tools - "Please help save a tree and pass this on to a friend"
